49 Accused person may make release application
(1)
A person accused of an offence may apply to a court for bail for the offence to be granted or dispensed with.
(2)
An application under this section is a release application.
(3)
A court may, after hearing the release application—
(a)
dispense with bail, or
(b)
grant bail (with or without the imposition of bail conditions), or
(c)
refuse bail.
(4)
If a bail decision has already been made, a court may, after hearing the release application—
(a)
affirm the bail decision, or
(b)
vary the bail decision.
