5 Sports controlling body to inform Minister of change in circumstances
A sports controlling body must give the Minister written notice of the following changes within 14 days of the change—
a change in the degree of the body’s control over the organisation of the sporting event,
a change in the membership of the body’s board of directors,
a change in the body’s financial circumstances, including insolvency,
a change in the persons or bodies with a controlling interest in the body,
the commencement of criminal proceedings against the body.
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
For subsection (1), if the sports controlling body is not a person, each member of the sports controlling body’s governing body must ensure the Minister is given written notice of the change.
