24K Certificate of analysis
(1)
An analyst responsible for the analysis of a forfeited explosive may give a certificate specifying the following—
(a)
the physical description of the explosive,
(b)
the identity of the explosive,
(c)
the quantity or mass of the explosive,
(d)
the result of the analysis.
(2)
In proceedings under this Act, a certificate purporting to be signed by an analyst is—
(a)
admissible in the proceedings without proof of the signature, employment or appointment of the person appearing to have signed the certificate, and
(b)
prima facie evidence of the matters certified.
