6F Exemption for certain supplies by lease or hire
(1)
This clause applies to a supplier who—
(a)
offers to lease or hire an e-micromobility vehicle, or
(b)
leases or hires an e-micromobility vehicle to a consumer.
(2)
The requirements of this division about model approvals and recognised external approvals do not apply to the supplier in relation to the vehicle if—
(a)
the supplier purchased the vehicle before 1 February 2026, and
(b)
the supplier is subject to the exemption issued under the Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Act 2017, section 8(3) on 18 December 2025 in relation to the vehicle.
