49 Effective date for classification
(1)
A classification of land takes effect from the date specified for the purpose in the declaration of the local council (this is the effective date for the classification).
(2)
The effective date for the classification must be a date of 1 July, 1 October, 1 January or 1 April.
Note.
These dates are the beginning of each quarterly instalment period for the levy.
(3)
The effective date for the classification may be a date that is before the date the declaration is made.
