17 Board of directors of GRNSW
There is to be a board of directors of GRNSW.
The Board is to consist of at least 5 (but no more than 7) directors appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Minister.
A person is not eligible to be appointed as a director if the person is a racing club official.
If 5 directors are appointed for the time being, no more than 2 may be greyhound racing industry participants.
If 6 or 7 directors are appointed for the time being, no more than 3 may be greyhound racing industry participants.
A majority of the directors for the time being must be independent directors. An independent director is a person who is not (or was not in the previous 7 years)—
a greyhound racing industry participant, or
a proprietor of a greyhound trial track, or
a racing club official or a member of a greyhound racing club.
