Complaints by public officials

(1)

A public official may complain to the Inspector about conduct of the Commission, an officer or former officer of the Commission or an officer of the Inspector.

Note.

Protections may be available under the following provisions to public officials who make a complaint under this section—

(a)

the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022, Part 3—if the complaint is a public interest disclosure,

(b)

Part 8A—if the making of the complaint is protected action within the meaning of the Part.

(2)

In this section—

conduct includes an act or omission.

public official has the same meaning as in the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022.
