Consultation before regulations regarding fees are made

In force

Before recommending the making of a regulation that specifies or varies a method of calculation of a levy or fee under section 292K, 292M or 292R(1), the Minister must ensure that—

(a)

a notice is published in the way specified by the regulations to bring it to the attention of the public—

(i)

stating the objects of the proposed regulation, and

(ii)

advising where a copy of the regulation may be obtained or inspected, and

(iii)

inviting comments and submissions within a specified period, but not less than 28 days from publication of the notice, and

(b)

comments and submissions received within the period specified by the notice are considered.
