The cancellation of an authorisation does not affect any liability for an authorisation fee that arose on a date that occurred before that cancellation.

Subject to the regulations, an authorisation fee does not cease to be payable, or become refundable, because the Secretary directs a person to suspend operations under the authorisation or suspends an activity approval.

Note.

Section 382A gives the Secretary power to waive or refund fees payable under this Act in appropriate cases.
