Strata Schemes Development Act 2015

As soon as practicable (but no later than 30 days) after the owners corporation receives a strata renewal proposal, the strata committee of the owners corporation must consider it at a meeting of the committee.

The secretary of the owners corporation, or any other member of the strata committee, may convene the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is to decide whether or not the strata committee considers the strata renewal proposal warrants further consideration by the owners corporation.

The minutes of the meeting must include—

a complete copy of the strata renewal proposal, and

detailed reasons for the decision.

The strata committee must give each owner of a lot in the strata scheme a copy of the minutes within 14 days after the meeting.
