Transport Administration Act 1988

The person who, immediately before the repeal of the Transport Authorities Act 1980, held office as Chief Executive of the State Rail Authority shall be taken to have been duly appointed under this Act as the Chief Executive of that Authority—

for the rest of the term of office for which the person was appointed as Chief Executive under that Act, and

under the same terms and conditions as those agreed on by the person and by or on behalf of the Government and applicable to the person as Chief Executive of the State Rail Authority under that Act.

Any such agreement has effect for the purposes of this clause whether or not it was valid when made.
