Water Industry Competition Act 2006

An approval may be granted—

for the activity or one or more of the activities for which the approval is sought, or

for an activity, except for a specified part or aspect of the activity, or

for a specified part or aspect of an activity.

An approval may be granted subject to a condition that an activity or a specified part or aspect of an activity, or a thing associated with the activity or the carrying out of the activity, must be the subject of either one or both of the following—

a further approval,

a variation of an existing approval.

In this section, activity means—

in relation to a scheme approval—the construction of water industry infrastructure to which this Part applies, and

in relation to an operational approval—the operation of water industry infrastructure to which this Part applies.
