153A Requirement for legal advice before permanent impairment assessment
Before an injured worker is seen by a permanent impairment assessor to start the permanent impairment assessment, the injured worker must obtain independent legal advice about the full legal implication of the assessment, including—
(a)
implications in relation to any entitlement of the injured worker to compensation under this Act or to benefits under another law, including a law of the Commonwealth, and
(b)
the desirability of the worker obtaining independent financial advice about the financial consequences of the impact of the assessment.
