49 Building Regulations – general power
(1)
Regulations made under section 168 may establish standards and requirements for buildings and the carrying out of building work.
(2)
Standards established by the Regulations may be expressed in terms of performance, types and material or methods of construction, or in such other terms as the Administrator thinks fit.
(3)
The Regulations may apply to existing buildings, whether or not building work is being or is proposed to be carried out on the buildings.
