34 Extension of order for periodic maintenance
(1)
Where a court has made an order under this Division for periodic maintenance for a period less than the maximum period permissible under section 32, the de facto partner in whose favour the order is made may apply to the court at any time before that maximum period ends for an extension of the period for which the order applies.
(2)
A court must not make an order to extend periodic maintenance unless it is satisfied that there are circumstances which justify an extension.
(3)
An order may not extend the period beyond the maximum period permissible under section 32.
(4)
For this section, a court must have regard to sections 24 and
26.
