39 Reasons for refusing geothermal authority application
The Minister may refuse to grant, renew or vary a geothermal authority, or to accept the surrender of a geothermal authority or
part of a geothermal authority area, if any of the following apply:
(a)
the relevant geothermal authority application is deficient or defective;
(b)
the applicant has not met the necessary criteria for the application;
(c)
the grant, renewal or variation, or acceptance of the surrender, would not be in the best interests of the Territory;
(d)
the Minister is satisfied there are other circumstances to justify the refusal.
