Compensation payable under the NTA

(1)

This section applies if the grant or renewal of a geothermal authority is a future act to which Part 2, Division 3,

Subdivision M of the NTA applies.

(2)

The geothermal authority holder is liable to pay compensation under the NTA to the native title holders whose native title rights and interests are affected by the future act.
