18 Claims by third parties
Where:
(a)
a person (in this section called the injured person) suffers damage as a result partly of his own wrong and partly of the wrong of another person or other persons; and
(b)
by reason of the damage to the injured person a third person suffers damage (whether by way of the loss of the society or services of the injured person or otherwise),
the wrong of the injured person shall, in a claim by the third person for the damage so suffered by him, be taken into account under section 16 for the purpose of reducing the damages recoverable by the third person as if the wrong of the injured person were the wrong of the third person.
