Part 19.5Carrying out work on land
337 Occupier entitled to carry out work on land
(1)
If an owner of land fails to carry out work on land that the owner is required under this Act to carry out, the occupier of the land may do so instead.
(2)
If the occupier of land carries out work under subsection (1), the occupier may recover the reasonable cost of doing so from the owner as a debt, or set off the amount against liabilities owed to the owner.
