117AT Release and extension
(1)
The Environment Minister may release an interest holder from an environmental security when satisfied that:
(a) all environmental obligations to which the security relates are satisfied and that the interest holder satisfied all relevant regulatory requirements; or
(b)
it is appropriate to provide a release in the particular circumstances.
(2)
The Environment Minister may require that an environmental security extend beyond the period for which the approved environment management plan is in force to cover residual remediation or rehabilitation, provide for monitoring or address other relevant circumstances.
