28 Variation of condition of exploration permit
A permittee may apply to the Minister to vary a condition of the permittee's exploration permit.
An application under subsection (1) must be accompanied by the prescribed fee.
(2) On receiving an application under subsection (1), the Minister may, by notice served on the permittee, vary a condition of the exploration permit in accordance with the application.
If a condition of an exploration permit which places an obligation on the permittee is suspended by a variation under subsection (2), the Minister may, in the notice or by a later notice served on the permittee, extend the term of the permit by a period not exceeding the period of the suspension.
Where an extension under subsection (3) of the term of an exploration permit is expressed to have effect from a date earlier than the date on which the notice by which it is extended is signed, it shall have and be deemed to have had effect as if the notice had been signed on that earlier date.
