147C Retaining and analysing samples
(1)
The Commissioner may retain a sample for the period that he or she thinks fit.
(2)
A sample may be subjected to any analysis that the Commissioner thinks fit and any information obtained may be recorded in the databases maintained under this Act.
(3)
However, a DNA analysis of the sample must be a type or method of DNA analysis prescribed by the Regulations.
(4)
In this section:
sample means anything obtained from carrying out a forensic procedure.
