Merit for appointment or promotion

In force

A person has merit for an appointment or promotion to a rank in the

Police Force under this Division if the person has the capacity to perform the duties of the rank, having regard to:

(a)

the person's:

(i)

knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience; and

(ii)

aptitude, diligence, good conduct and quality of service; and

(iii)

potential for future development in the Police Force; and

(b)

any other matters the Commissioner reasonably considers relevant.
