9 Powers given to secure proprietary interests, &c.
(1)
A power given to secure a proprietary interest of the donee of the power may be given to the person entitled to the interest and the persons deriving title to the interest through him, and those latter persons shall, while they hold the interest, be duly constituted donees of the power for all purposes of the power.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not affect any right given by the power to appoint substitutes.
