45Q Benefit payable on invalidity retirement
(1)
If a member is entitled to a benefit on invalidity retirement, the NTGDIS benefit is payable to the member.
(2)
However, if a benefit (a workers' compensation benefit) is payable to the member under workers' compensation legislation or a workers' compensation agreement, the NTGDIS benefit is to be reduced by the amount of the worker's compensation benefit.
(3)
If a workers' compensation benefit consists of periodic payments, the amount of the benefit is taken to be the notional redemption value (as determined by an approved actuary) of the periodic payments.
