Valuation of Land Act 1963

Sittings of the Tribunal shall be held at such times and places in the Territory as the President of the Tribunal, being present in the Territory, determines.

The powers and functions of the Tribunal shall be exercised and performed by one member of the Tribunal.

The President of the Tribunal may, from time to time, make arrangements as to which member of the Tribunal is to exercise and perform the powers and functions of the Tribunal.

A member of the Tribunal may sit and exercise and perform the powers and functions of the Tribunal notwithstanding that another member of the Tribunal is at the same time sitting and exercising and performing those powers and functions.

A power conferred on the President of the Tribunal by subsection (1) or (3) may be exercised by the senior member of the Tribunal present in the Territory and able to exercise the power if there is a vacancy in the office of President of the Tribunal or if the President of the Tribunal is not present in the Territory or is unable to exercise the power.
