43 Notice of change of ownership

(1)

Subject to subsection (4), where a person becomes, or ceases to be, the owner of any land, he shall, within 30 days, cause notice of that fact, in accordance with the approved form, to be given to the

Valuer-General.

Maximum penalty: $40.

(2)

Subject to subsection (4), where a person subdivides any land, he shall forthwith cause notice of the subdivision to be given to the

Valuer-General, in accordance with the approved form, together with a plan of the subdivision.

Maximum penalty: $40.

(3)

An offence of contravening or failing to comply with this section is a regulatory offence.

(4)

Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply where the Registrar-General has entered into an agreement under section 205 of the Land Title

Act 2000 to provide the information required by or under those subsections to be given.
