33 Additional matters to be considered in granting best practice licence

The NT EPA must not grant a best practice licence to a person unless the NT EPA is satisfied that, in relation to the activity specified in Schedule 2 to which the application relates, the person:

(a) has during the 2 years immediately preceding the application under section 31, complied with this Act;

(b)

is implementing a program of voluntary environmental audits;

(c)

has implemented or is implementing an improvement plan;

(d)

is implementing a system for environmental management;

(e) is implementing a program for reporting to the community, and involving the community in, environmental performance and management; and

(f)

has complied with the prescribed requirements, if any.
