45 Suspension and cancellation of licences
The NT EPA may, in writing:
(a) suspend a licence for a period specified in the notice under subsection (3); or
cancel a licence,
if satisfied that:
(c) the holder of the approval or licence has not complied with a provision of this Act; or
(d) there is a risk of pollution resulting in material environmental harm or serious environmental harm.
(2) If a person has not paid an annual fee required under section 42 by the date specified in a notice under section 42(5), the NT EPA may suspend the licence to which the fee relates until:
the annual fee is paid; or
(b) arrangements to the satisfaction of the NT EPA for the payment of the fee are made.
(3) The NT EPA must give notice of the suspension or cancellation of a licence to the holder of the licence.
(4) A suspension or cancellation of a licence under subsection (1) takes effect:
(a) on the date on which notice is given to the person under subsection (3); or
(b) where a later date is provided for in the notice – on the later date.
