6.07 Attendance by communication link

(1)

With the leave of the Court, a person may attend a hearing by communication link if physical attendance is impracticable.

(2)

A person wishing to attend a hearing by telephone must seek the leave of the Court not later than 24 hours before the time fixed for the hearing.

(3)

A person wishing to attend a hearing by closed-circuit television must seek the leave of the Court in sufficient time to allow for the reservation of the communication facilities to be used at the hearing.

(4)

Leave under this rule may be granted informally by telephone and without notice to any other person.

(5)

A person who is granted leave to attend a hearing by communication link must give notice to other persons that the Court orders.

(6)

The Court may direct that the person granted leave under this rule must reserve the communication facilities to be used at the hearing and pay the costs in connection with their use.
