283 Notice of intention to take part
A person who wishes to take part in the mailbox service, and who is eligible to take part, must—
give the chief executive a signed notice in the approved form; and
produce for the chief executive’s inspection the documents prescribed under a regulation relating to the person’s identity.
The notice must state whether the person wishes to exchange identifying information.
The notice may also include other information necessary or convenient to enable the person’s participation.
Examples—
1 If the person wishes to exchange only non-identifying information, the person may state a name that the person would like to use in correspondence.
2 The person may state whether the person wishes the chief executive to forward letters to the person as soon as they are received or to hold any letters until the person asks for them to be forwarded or collects them in person.
