36 Search requiring the removal of clothing of prisoners on chief executive’s order—generally
The chief executive may order a search requiring the removal of clothing of 1 or more prisoners if the chief executive is satisfied the search is necessary for either or both of the following—
the security or good order of the corrective services facility;
the safe custody and welfare of prisoners at the facility.
Example—A knife is missing from the kitchen of a corrective services facility. The chief executive may be satisfied that a search requiring the removal of clothing of each prisoner who worked in the kitchen that day is necessary for the security or good order of the facility or for the safe custody and welfare of prisoners at the facility.
A search requiring the removal of clothing under this section may be preceded by another less intrusive search.
