13 Termination of appointment
The Governor in Council must terminate the appointment of an appointed commissioner if the appointed commissioner—
(a)
accepts nomination for election to an Australian parliament; or
(b)
becomes a member of a political party; or
(c)
becomes bankrupt, applies to take the benefit of any law for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors, compounds with creditors or makes an assignment of remuneration for their benefit; or
(d)
is absent, without the commission’s leave and without reasonable excuse, from 3 consecutive meetings of the commission; or
(e)
contravenes section 12 without reasonable excuse.
