Delegation by chief executive

(1)

The chief executive may delegate the chief executive’s functions under this Act to an appropriately qualified public service employee.

(2)

In this section—

appropriately qualified, for a public service employee to whom a function may be delegated, includes having the qualifications, experience or standing appropriate for the function.Examples of standing for public service employee—

the officer or employee’s classification or level in a department or agency

functions includes powers.
