188C Failure to comply with direction
The person to whom a direction is given under section 188B must comply with the direction unless the person has a reasonable excuse.Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
It is a reasonable excuse for the person not to comply with a direction if to comply immediately would endanger the person or someone else or cause loss or damage to property, and the person complies as soon as it is practicable to do so.
Subsection (2) does not limit what may be a reasonable excuse for subsection (1).
A person does not commit an offence against subsection (1) if the person is not given an offence warning for the direction.
