148D Tenant must advise lessor if smoke alarm needs replacing
(1)
This section applies during a tenancy in a domestic dwelling.
(2)
If the tenant is aware a smoke alarm in the dwelling has failed or is about to fail, other than because the battery is spent or almost spent, the tenant must advise the lessor as soon as practicable.Maximum penalty—5 penalty units.
