148H Agent may act for owner
(1)
A requirement imposed on an owner to comply with this division in relation to a smoke alarm at a domestic dwelling may be complied with for the owner by the owner’s agent.
(2)
However, if the owner is a lessor, subsection (1) does not permit the lessor’s tenant to be, and the lessor’s tenant must not be, the lessor’s agent for the purpose of complying with this division.
