Fire Services Act 1990

The functions of the deputy commissioner are—

to support the commissioner in the performance of the commissioner’s functions; and

to manage the service delivery of QFR to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of QFR; and

to ensure the development of the capability of QFR, including the systems, frameworks and resources required to support the delivery of services; and

to ensure minimum standards and training for fire service officers assigned to QFR are in place to the satisfaction of the commissioner; and

to perform any other function given to the deputy commissioner by the commissioner.

The deputy commissioner is subject to the direction of the commissioner in performing the deputy commissioner’s functions under this Act.
