Interfering with forest products on forest consent area

In force

(1)

A person must not interfere with, or cause to be interfered with, any forest products on any forest consent area other than—

(a)

under the authority of an Act or law; or

(b)

under the authority of a permit, lease, licence or agreement granted or made under this Act.

Maximum penalty—

(a)

for a first offence—1,000 penalty units; or

(b)

for a subsequent offence—3,000 penalty units.

(2)

Subsection (1) does not apply if—

(a)

the person is acting under the Biosecurity Act 2014; and

(b)

that action interferes with, or causes to be interfered with, the forest products; and

(c)

the forest products are restricted matter.
