26 Requisitions

(1)

This section applies if a person applies to the chief executive to lodge a document.

(2)

The chief executive may, by written notice (a requisition), require the person to—

(a)

re-execute, complete or correct the document if the chief executive considers the document is wrong, incomplete or defective; or

(b)

give the chief executive another document or information to support the person’s application.

(3)

The requisition may require the other document or information to be verified by a statutory declaration or affidavit.

(4)

The requisition may state when the requisition must be complied with.

(5)

The chief executive may extend the time for complying with the requisition.

(6)

The chief executive may refuse to deal with the document until the person—

(a)

complies with the requisition; and

(b)

pays the fee stated in schedule 1.
