406D What is a courier service contract
(1)
A courier service contract is a contract between a principal contractor and an independent courier—
(a)
under which the independent courier transports goods under arrangements made by the principal contractor; and
(b)
that is not a contract of employment.
(2)
A courier service contract includes a contract declared to be a courier service contract by an order of the commission under section 406E.
(3)
Without limiting subsection (1) or (2), a courier service contract may be a franchise arrangement.
