84 Effect on parental leave of employee ceasing to be responsible for the care of the child
(1)
This section applies if—
(a)
during a substantial period starting on or after the start of an employee’s long parental leave the employee is no longer responsible for the care of the child; and
(b)
considering the length of the period and any other relevant circumstances, it is reasonable to expect the employee will not be responsible for the care of the child within a reasonable period.
(2)
The employer may notify the employee of the day, at least 4 weeks after the employer gives the notice, on which the employee must return to work.
(3)
If the employee returns to work, the employer must cancel the rest of the leave.
