Integrity Act 2009

This section applies to information about a person given to the integrity commissioner under this Act, including, for example—

information given in a request for advice under chapter 3, part 2; and

information given in a meeting under chapter 3, part 3.

The information may be—

recorded, used and disclosed for the purpose of the investigation or prosecution of an offence against section 40A; and

given in a proceeding against a person for an offence against section 40A to the extent necessary to prosecute the person for the offence.

Subsection (2) applies despite—

section 24; and

any other law, rule or practice to the contrary.
