97 Conveying prisoners to prison
The person to whom a warrant of commitment is directed shall convey the person therein named or described to the prison or other place mentioned in the warrant, or to some other prison or place of legal detention which is more accessible or convenient, and there deliver the person together with the warrant to the chief executive (corrective services) or person in charge of the place, who shall thereupon give the person delivering the prisoner into the person’s custody a receipt for such prisoner, setting forth the state and condition in which such prisoner was when the prisoner was delivered into the person’s custody. hdg prec s 98 om 1992 No. 40 s 49
