288 Certain documents must be signed
(1)
A document transferring a lease, sublease or licence or creating an interest in a lease or sublease must be signed by—
(a)
the transferor or the person creating the interest; and
(b)
the transferee or the person in whose favour the interest is to be created or a legal practitioner authorised by the transferee or person.
(2)
A total or partial discharge or release of mortgage need only be signed by the mortgagee.
(3)
For a document that is an electronic conveyancing document, subsections (1) and (2) apply subject to the form approved for the document under the Electronic Conveyancing National Law (Queensland), section 7.
