Land Act 1994

This section applies to an application for a term lease that has been made under previous chapter 4, part 3 but not decided before the commencement.

Previous chapter 4, part 3 and chapter 5, part 2 continue to apply to the application.

However, subsection (4) applies if the application is for a lease to which the following apply—

the lease—

is for rural leasehold land; and

is for a term of 20 years of more;

the lease land is 100ha or more but less than 1,000ha.

The Minister may, at the applicant’s request, decide the application as if chapter 4, part 3 as amended under the amending Act applied to the application.
