176 Applying for internal review

(1)

An application by a person for internal review of an original decision must be made within 28 days after notice of the decision is given to the person.

(2)

However, if—

(a)

the notice did not state reasons for the decision; and

(b)

the person asked for a statement of reasons for the decision within the period mentioned in subsection (1);

the person may make the application within 28 days after the person is given the statement of reasons.

(3)

In addition, the valuer-general may extend the period for making an application for internal review.

(4)

An application for internal review must be written and state in detail the grounds on which the applicant seeks internal review of the decision.
