82 Valuation on inclusion of land not previously in a local government area
(1)
This section applies if lands not previously in a local government area are joined to a local government area.
(2)
The valuer-general must, as soon as practicable, make a valuation of the lands.
(3)
The valuation—
(a)
must be for the same valuation day as the current valuations of all lands in the local government area; and
(b)
is taken to have had effect from the day the joinder happened; and
(c)
continues in effect, subject to any maintenance valuation, for the rest of the period for which the current valuations have effect.
