22 Court may recommend legal assistance

(1)

A court may recommend that a person be given legal assistance by Legal Aid if the person is before the court in a specified criminal proceeding and the court considers it appropriate to make the recommendation.

(2)

An application by the person for legal assistance must be made in the approved form and dealt with under this part.
