38 Legal Aid may charge a legally assisted person interest on particular unpaid amounts

(1)

Legal Aid may charge a legally assisted person interest on an unpaid amount payable by the person under section 36(2).

(2)

If Legal Aid charges interest, it—

(a)

starts accruing 30 days after Legal Aid gives the person written notice of its decision to charge it; and

(b)

is payable at the rate for the time being prescribed under the Civil Proceedings Act 2011, section 59(3) for a money order debt.
